Photo Vomit [26]: San Diego According to My iPhone

At the San Diego Central Public Library where the boy satisfies his appetite for dinosaurs. FullSizeRender-21

This is one cool library, folks. An architecture wonder, in my opinion.

A shot of some of the books I picked up.

A view that will inspire creativity and productivity.

I adore these headboard art. US Grant is one of my favourite hotels among every other hotels we’ve ever been in.

I’ve taken oodles of pictures, but I don’t want to bombard you with all of them. I thought I’d pick some of my favourites instead.

Crazy, right? Ah well. What did you expect? We went away for a few days, so of course a stop at a bookstore was bound to happen. So this is what I got.

Yeah. Our annual trip to San Diego was different this time around, as we brought our kids to their first live game. Unfortunately, we all saw them  LOSE in the most heartbreaking fashion. I kid you not, I cried all the way from the stadium back to our hotel. It was the most painful loss I’ve ever witnessed. And I can’t even be mad at the Steelers, because, dammit. Our defence forgot to show up! Gawd.

Anyway, enough about that. I always make it a point to stop by a B & N any time we’re away. This time, we went twice. I bought a whole slew of books which negated all the self-control I’ve exuded prior to this trip. I convinced the family to visit the newly-opened San Diego Central Library as well, which was a great experience as I don’t think we’ve all been to any library all at once.

There was a used bookstore at Horton’s Plaza that I religiously check out.  It just so happens that it had several Sandra Brown books! I picked up three. I read one already and well on my way to finishing the second one.

Sorry about the lack of posts and the tiny hiatus, ladies and gents. It was difficult to draft any posts while I was away because by the time we were back in our room, I was completely bushed. California was having a hot and humid Fall when we were there, so I barely have enough energy to think. The heat kind of sapped all our energy, to be honest.  I’ve been doing my rounds, so please bear with me.

I start my new job today. And I’ve been sick to my stomach thinking about it all weekend. You’d think I’m going for a job interview again, but no. It’s my first day. I’ve been so nervous all week that I’ve been dreaming about it. I’m so terrified. Terrified I’m going to fail. Terrified I’m not going to be able to do the job. Terrified they’ll think I’m such a hack. All my excitement over starting anew is gone. It’s now replaced with dread.
