Hello from the Other Side

Heh. January was my last post on this blog. Not gonna lie, I’ve thought about quitting because I just couldn’t find the time. But somehow, the generous publishers that I work with keep sending me books. And who am I to say no? I’m sure I could just as easily quit and post my reviews somewhere, but I feel bad for abandoning y’all. You’ve been so patient with me. And I still get pinged from my readers in social media so to quit is just not in the immediate future at the moment. Also considering there’d been so many, I heard, that have quit, I just couldn’t find it in me. So here we are. Hoping, yet again, that it will stick this time. *fingers crossed*

New on My Shelves

The books above are all for reviews. Mostly from Penguin Random House and Simon & Schuster Canada. Thank you, most gracious, most generous benefactors. I owe you a few reviews. I’m slowly getting back into it again. So please bear with me again. I’d also like to thank Big Honcho Media for sending me two copies of Emergency Contact along with a few swags. I was so suprised to find a box of goodies in the mail. I was tasked to send one of the copies away so I held a giveaway on my Instagram page. There wasn’t much entries – which made me sad, but I get it. I don’t have much clout there and since Instagram changed the algorithm, my giveaway post didn’t receive much attention. Lucky for the winner, though. 🙂

Life in General

Not much, to be honest. Just trying to trudge through this long winter but the end is in sight, hopefully. Also trying to do this reading and blogging thing again. I was able to read a few books in the last couple of weeks that reduced my reading goal deficit from 19 to 11. I have a ways to go but I think this is it for real this time. This is when I finally found a way to get back on the horse. Spring is coming too so I can take advantage of my walks by listening to audiobooks.

Still working out like crazy. In three weeks’ time, I will have attended 1000 classes since joining my gym. I’m up to 920 classes as of this writing. Even I can’t believe this number. Admittedly, the last few months have not been good food-wise. So even though I’ve been working out like crazy, I’ve gained a few pounds, lost muscle and gained fat. Ugh. So I’m nipping this in the bud. I’m going back to basics. High protein, low carb. Lesson learned that I need to have a good balance or I will easily fall back to my old habits.

Anyway, thank you, as always, for sticking around. I will be doing some blog visits as soon as I get some posts scheduled. 🙂 Have a great week, everyone!
