New Releases for September 27, 2016

I have this annoying habit of preordering books that I’m looking forward to reading then, going to the bookstore on release day to pick up a copy. This week, I made sure I didn’t have any of these on my preorder list to avoid my husband’s knee-jerk conniption fit when he sees two copies of the same book. Lol.

I’m sure Leigh Bardugo’s Crooked Kingdom is on everybody’s haul this week, as well, Like A River. I’m looking forward to reading those, too along with Rosamund Hodge’s Bright Smoke, Cold Fire.

What are you most excited to read this week?

  • I still haven’t tried Leigh Bardugo as yet! And I know everyone raves about her… one day!

  • The Trouble with Mistletoe is a must read! It’s so good! I NEED CROOKED KINGDOM!!! I need to stumble upon an inheritance or something lol

  • Looking forward to a few of these but Crooked Kingdom is definitely on top, along with Bright Smoke Cold Fire. Thanks for sharing!

  • I just finished The Life She Wants over the weekend and loved it! Robyn Carr never disappoints me! I need to get back to Tessa Dare’s series. I left off a few books before this, but she does write delicious historical romances! 🙂

  • So many great books to look forward to! I love a lot of those covers, but I’m not sure why – lately I haven’t really been one to be waiting on a lot of books. Oh well :3

  • I’ve actually only just added Six Of Crows to my TBR actually. Seeing all the excitement for book two has made me curious and wanting to pick it up. Those Tessa dare covers make me laugh, she loves the bodice ripping heaving boobs doesn’t she. Thanks for sharing Joy, going to check these out and add a few to that growing pile <3

  • The Women in the Walls sounds nice and creepy. Perfect October read!

  • I need to read the first book Six of Crows book, stat.

  • There are some pretty great releases that came out today!!! I am pretty excited for Shalvis’ book. I did love reading Rules of Engagement when I read it years ago.

  • RO

Three of my faves, in no certain order. Christina Dodd has en entire shelf to herself, Jill Shalvis is always on point and Robyn Carr. Great choices!

  • I hope Hodge’s book is good. The cover art is stunning and the title is so curious too!

  • Ahh there’s a new Tessa Dare book! I still have plenty of her older books to read, but I’m still excited for another one.

  • I’m kind of interested in The Life She Wants by Robyn Carr. I haven’t read a non-Virgin River book by her and that one looks like a good one. I’m also really interested in Phantom Limbs. That sounds like a good one.

I enjoyed the Tessa Dare and the Shalvis books. I recommend those to lovers of romance.

Thanks for the post, Joy. I love finding new books to look forward to without all of the leg work. Ha!

  • Angie Elle

I just read a really good review for The Sinner, so hopefully you’re in luck there. The cover on that Rosamund Hodge book is stunning. Nice list!

  • I still need to read Six of Crows oops >.< but there are some fun titles up there!

  • Karen

I have a few of those on my shelf but…CROOKED KINGDOM!!!! My boxed set arrives today! *squeals*

    Karen @For What It’s Worth

  • Jenny @ Supernatural Snark

*snort* I used to do the same thing Joy, and now I’m all about the instant gratification of my Kindle:) I still end up with two copies of the ones I love since I need a physical copy as well, but at least my husband can’t see two copies of the same book lying around 😉 Definitely excited for Crooked Kingdom, and I can’t wait to see what you think of Bright Smoke Cold FIre!

  • kindlemom1

Thanks so much for posting these, there are some seriously good books out today!

  • I’m so excited to get my copy of Crooked Kingdom today!! I’m a pre-order-er myself. Especially if there’s a promo going, like with Crooked Kingdoms. Otherwise I tend to wait for the price to drop a little. I’m such a bargain shopper, I just can’t help myself! LOL!

  • Keertana @ Ivy Book Bindings

CROOKED KINGDOM! I’m also really looking forward to Tessa Dare’s latest and thanks for reminding me that Jill Shalvis has a new release out today as well! Great post, Joy!

  • The Woman in the Walls looks so perfectly creepy. Still trying to decide if I want to buy it. I need to read The Vanishing Year, too. Lots of good ones!
