Last year, my blog anniversary came and went without any fanfare. Four years of doing this thang is a huge deal, but FIVE years is a freaking milestone! Not gonna lie, my first two and a half years of blogging was a blur. I was frustrated and was ready to quit because I didn’t see the point of writing book reviews when no one ever reads them. I did, however, saw the light during the latter part of my third year. I realized what I was doing wrong and have made corrections to jump start my love blogging over again.
It took painstaking patience to get to where I am now. I feel like even though my blog isn’t huge by any stretch, I’m comfortable enough to say that I’ve experienced success at last. I only ever want to be read and find a little niche for myself. And in the last couple of years, I feel like I’ve already achieved so much. I don’t care that I don’t get ARCs of the popular books everybody gets; nor do I care that my follower count has been virtually stuck. I’m happy to see you reading my posts and even though my commenters are the same people day in and day out, at least I know that I am a part of your daily blogging routine. So thank you, my loyal readers and friends. Because without your thoughtful comments and religious visitations, I don’t think I would still be here.
So here’s a little token of gratitude for sticking with me:
