Life Lately

Hello.

I hope you’re all doing well. If you’re not following me on any social media platforms, you might not have heard it yet that I’ve been in a cast for a week now. I tore my ACL last Tuesday, went to Urgent Care the next morning, got Xrays, then 4 hours later, my leg’s been mummified. It is not fun, though I should say that the pain on my foot is no longer excruciating. I’m ready for this cast to be off, though. I’ve never felt more claustrophobic as I have these last few days.

Pretty good contribution for #SockSunday, if I may say so myself.

I wish I can say that I’m making good use of my time as an invalid, but I’m not. I only took a day off from work then went back the next day because I’m fairly new at my job and I really like what I’m doing there. I’m in a bit of a reading slump, but it has nothing to do with me being immobile. To be honest, I blame one book for this wretched curse. One of these days, when I have the energy and time to write a review, I’ll tell you the root and cause of this madness.

April TBR Differential: +10

I want to cry. I can’t believe I only read 9 books in April! This won’t do. This won’t do at all.

Anyway, I wish you the best of May, y’all! We no longer have a cabin. *sobs* But I can now focus on our home. I’ve always wanted to fix up our backyard so now I have the time.

Burning Question of the week:

Who the heck would cheat on Beyoncè?
