Shrill by Lindy West | Marked in Flesh by Anne Bishop | Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare
I hope y’all had a great week and that your long weekend is off to a fantastic start. Sorry that it’s been a slow week over here, but I got too involved with Seveneves for the last few days that I’ve not had the chance to read anything else. I also decided to paint my bedroom walls and it literally knocked me off my feet for two days. I was exhausted. So far, no news on the job hunt, but I’m not losing hope just yet.
These books are actually from last week’s purchases and for-review-pile. I was not able to include it on the previous Hoarders post. I would like to thank Hachette Books USA for sending me a copy of Shrill by Lindy West. I started reading it yesterday and it’s hilarious so far. It’s a memoir that focuses on growing up that will hopefully lend me some lessons on personal acceptance. I’ll let you know how the rest of it goes.
Y’all know how much I love Anne Bishop’s The Others series. I’ve been dying to get my hands on Marked in Flesh since I finished Murder of Crows last year. I just don’t know when I’ll be able to tackle it. I think I will be taking a break from requesting books in May because I’m really behind. I’ve got so many books I want to tackle before the madness of BEA.
And all the haters can suck it with Cassandra Clare. Seriously. I’m dyingggg to read Lady Midnight. Dying.
Anywho, sorry again for the lack of post this week. It’s the long weekend, so I probably won’t be around until Sunday to catch up with you all. Hoping to write a bunch of posts while we’re away in the cabin.
Happy reading, everyone!
