Hoarders, Books Edition: Episode 168

The Impostor Queen by Sarah Fine | The Widow by Fiona Barton

I guess this will be my November recap as well <insert I can’t-believe-it’s-December-already>. Well, I for one, am looking forward to ending 2015 with a bang. I’m finally settled with a job where I can see myself doing for years to come. Hopefully, this is the last time you’ll ever hear about it. Lol. Thanks for listening to my whine and cheese.

This week, I’m thankful to have received these two books from the two publishers that are nice enough to know I exist. Simon and Schuster Canada and Penguin Random House Canada. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I’m looking forward to reading both these books. I have been doing well with these review copies. I’m halfway through Dangerous Lies and then I can tackle the last three in my pile (which includes these two). Go, me!

  • The Masked Truth by Kelley Armstrong was a 5-star read.
  • Hello? by Liza M. Weimer was as wonderful as everyone claims it to be (4 stars).
  • The Dirt on the Ninth Grave by Darynda Jones was ho-hum fantastic (5 stars. Review tomorrow)

It has been a great week overall.

You have no idea how happy I was to get approved for these books! I didn’t think they would, but thanks so much to Net Galley, St. Martin’s Press and Spencer Hill. I read them and loved them!

  • Walk on Earth, A Stranger by Rae Carson
  • The Gap of Time by Jeannette Winterson
  • The Liar by Nora Roberts
  • Such a Dance by Kate McMurray
  • Midnight Sun by Jø Nesbo
  • The Dirt on the Ninth Grave by Darynda Jones
  • Hello? by Liza Weimer
  • The Masked Truth by Kelley Armstrong

As you can tell, it has been a slow reading month. With all the things I’ve gone through for the past couple of months, I was a little preoccupied. But I’m back and looking forward to starting strong in December and finishing the year on a good note.

I hope your November has been a great month! Happy reading, everyone!
