Well, I managed to abstain this week by not buying more than what I’d planned to get at the bookstore. Five of these books were from the thrift shop. Five books for $20 is a steal, I say! I figure, I’ll ease myself out of buying new. That is, until I’m able to stop buying altogether. What can I say? I’m a work in progress. *grins* My books this week are a varied lot, if I may so myself. And some of these I’m really surprised to find. Anyway, here they are:
I don’t really know anything about Anne Bishop’s Sebastian, but since I’m familiar with her other books, I wanted to check it out. One of the blurb mentioned how romantic and erotic it was, and honestly, I’m all, SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! Hollow City is fairly new…isn’t it? I haven’t read Miss Peregrine’s but I do own a copy of it for future devouring. Deep Kiss of Winter looks like a two-books-in-one type of deal from Gena Showalter and Kresley Cole. Christmas stories? I don’t know. A little close to the season, so yay. I’ve always wanted to read The Secrets of Attraction by Robin Constantine, and to be honest, I think I may already own the book (I just don’t know where it is). I’m surprised to see it at the store for a bargain price. I’m a huge collector of Penguin vintage – especially this cloth-bound edition. There was no way I was going to pass up on Little Women.
Last, but certainly not the least: Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. I was literally vibrating from excitement at the bookstore. I read it as soon as I got to the car and read through until 3 in the morning. You guys. This book is freaking amazing! It has that Harry Potter vibe. I think Carry On will inspire me to finally check out those books.

Just so you know, I might not be around this weekend. My family and I are on our way to San Diego for our annual Chargers pilgrimage. This year might be the last time as there are rumours circulating of a possible move to Los Angeles. It sucks. But we decided to bring the kids with us so they can see them for the first time (and possibly the last time *sobs*).
