Multiple storylines collide in this cosmos-spanning new volume. While Gwendolyn and Lying Cat risk everything to find a cure for The Will, Marko makes an uneasy alliance with Prince Robot IV to find their missing children, who are trapped on a strange world with terrifying new enemies. Collects Saga #25-30

Volume 4 ended with Hazel’s family torn apart.  We find her, her mom, and her grandmother in their ship taken by an android whose belief could very well put Hazel in the hands of those who are trying to kill her. Marko and Alana are doing their best to find each other, but as the story moves along, it becomes very clear that they’re in for the fight of their lives.
As usual, the story is dark. But with a wry humour that cuts the edge off. This was a fast read. It took me 20 minutes, tops. I even had time to re-read it, because it made me feel so empty afterwards. Heartbreak abounds in this instalment. Be warned. Once again, I’m left with one question: How the fuck was I suppose to wait patiently for the next instalment?
Fantastic imagery, candid writing. This series just keeps getting better and better!

So many people rave about these. I haven’t checked them out yet, but every time I read a review it pushes me just a little more over the edge …

  • This seems like a completely amazing series, but I couldn’t get into it. I guess the themes weren’t my cup of tea in the first one. People definitely seem to have been incredibly taken with it, though, and it’s awesome to see all the love floating about. Is this the most recent volume, then?

  • It only takes 20 minutes to read? So a short story with a continuing story line. It’s great that you enjoyed it so much that you re-read it immediately!

  • Gosh, I’ve seen so much praise for this series – I really need to get hold of the first instalment! Glad you enjoyed! <3

  • Yay 😀 Glad you liked this one a lot Joy. <3 But ohh. Very fast read? Sad face. I'm not sure I'm ready for these yet, lol 🙂 Heartbreaking? Ahh. I don't approve. But sounds interesting too 🙂 Thank you for sharing. <3

  • I haven’t read a book in this series yet but I have heard about how amazing this whole graphic novels series is. I don’t read too many graphic novels but when I do, I end up loving them., Which is why I want to try this one at some point! Glad it was so wonderful <3

  • Haha! For such a short read, you seem very connected to the story!

  • Would love to give graphic novels a try 🙂

  • I’m not much for graphic novels, but I’ll have to show this to my sister! It’d be right up her alley.

I’m not really a fan of graphic novels, but I see these books around so much I’m actually very curious and I want to try it out! And wow, 20 minutes! That should show how good it was.

  • ugh the waiting, bloody annoying ain’t it?

  • You finished it in twenty minutes?! That’s some pretty good story over there then, because reading something that fast could only mean you couldn’t get enough of it!

  • Ah, I love graphic novels but they just take so little time to read them. I haven’t read Saga, but it looks yummy!

  • YES OK. This is good because I thought that the story was going to end with Volume 5, BUT LUCKILY THAT IS NOT THE CASE 🙂 I already have this on hold at the library 🙂 🙂

  • Does your son read this with you? I remember seeing him with a book in your IG…

  • Jenny @ Supernatural Snark

I’m currently avoiding any stories that will rip my heart out and stomp on it, even stories that only take 20 minutes to do it:) So glad this was another solid volume for you and hopefully the wait for the next one isn’t too long!

Yay for wonderful reads like these! I really do need to try at least one graphic novel at some point in time.

  • Oh man, I haven’t picked up book 4 yet because I’m ‘saving it’ but now that the 5th is out, I should get the 5th and then binge it!

  • The library only has book 1 ./
