Multiple storylines collide in this cosmos-spanning new volume. While Gwendolyn and Lying Cat risk everything to find a cure for The Will, Marko makes an uneasy alliance with Prince Robot IV to find their missing children, who are trapped on a strange world with terrifying new enemies. Collects Saga #25-30
Volume 4 ended with Hazel’s family torn apart. We find her, her mom, and her grandmother in their ship taken by an android whose belief could very well put Hazel in the hands of those who are trying to kill her. Marko and Alana are doing their best to find each other, but as the story moves along, it becomes very clear that they’re in for the fight of their lives.
As usual, the story is dark. But with a wry humour that cuts the edge off. This was a fast read. It took me 20 minutes, tops. I even had time to re-read it, because it made me feel so empty afterwards. Heartbreak abounds in this instalment. Be warned. Once again, I’m left with one question: How the fuck was I suppose to wait patiently for the next instalment?
Fantastic imagery, candid writing. This series just keeps getting better and better!
