On the Night Table [26]: Derailed in Russia

Planning what to read ahead of time typically works well for me. I get my ARCs and review copies done and sometimes, I’m able to squeeze some pleasure reading in between. Well, last week, when I got the email from Audible about The Bronze Horseman, I knew the books on my queue were done for. Β Because I’ve been watching and hoping that they’ll be available for download for the longest time, and I knew I would jump at the chance as soon they have it. So for the better part of my week, I was simultaneously reading and listening to the first book.

Epic doesn’t even come close. I loved it. I ranted about it on Twitter. I couldn’t get enough.

Needless to say, I’ve been obsessed. And probably will remain obsessed until I finished every single book from this series. This week, I don’t plan on reading anything else. I am, once again, behind by a week. Though that doesn’t necessarily mean I’m behind on blogging. I’m actually still quite a few days ahead. So I think I can afford to be distracted by my new favourite literary couple. Reviews for these books will be up some time next week.

  • The One Thing by Marci Lyn Curtis
  • Amplified by Tara Kelly
  • Long Change by Don Gillmor
What’s on your night table this week?
  • What’s The Bronze Horseman? I know I like that cover there… Woah, I just read the synopsis. I NEED it, but I’m going to have to follow your lead on the Audible bit! πŸ˜€

  • I must admit, I’m not a fan of historical romances usually, it has to be beautifully written and really imaginative for me to enjoy it. And this series sounds like both. I actually have a copy of Tully by the same author on my shelves that I need to read. Might give it a go and check out her style of writing. Fingers crossed.

  • I have read some good reviews for The Bronze Horseman Series. So glad you are enjoying them so much!

  • Aw, yay πŸ˜€ So happy you are obsessed with those books. <3 That is all kinds of awesome. Have fun reading them all Joy πŸ˜€ And ugh, you have such a beautiful home. <3 Gorgeous photo sweet girl πŸ™‚ Happy reading. <3 Hope you are having an awesome week so far πŸ˜€

Now I need to read it too! πŸ™‚

  • Did I tell you how beautiful your snapshots are, Joy? That shot is just majestic and gorgeous. Great job capturing it!

I’ve been thinking about trying the Bronze Horseman for the looongest time. I think I’ll take the plunge now and get it, especially since I trust your word very much. When you can’t get enough of something, that speaks volumes about the book! I’ll go on Amazon later today and get an ebook since I won’t be able to go to the bookstore anytime soon.

Behind by a week doesn’t seem so bad when it includes such a compelling series. Who cares? In the end, this whole reading and blogging thing should really be about us. I’ll make sure to check out The Bronze Horseman on Audible, I have an extra credit and some extra time too.

I love it when this happens Joy! When you find a series so addicting all other books get pushed down the list so you can binge read:) I haven’t heard much about this series, so I’m going to have to check the Bronze Horseman out for sure:) Enjoy your new favorite couple!
