Hoarders, Books Edition: Episode 148

Close to Hugh by Marina Endicott | End of Days by Susan Ee | A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas | Eighth Grave After Dark by Darynda Jones

I cannot even begin to tell you how happy I was when I got an email from Big Honcho Media about this book! (Squealed like a stuck pig is the perfect description.) I devoured it. I loved it. I want to re-read it. And I’m dying to read the next one!  Yeah. It was everything plus a bag of chips. I don’t know how I’ll survive waiting for the next book to come out, but I’ll f*ck, kill, marry anyone who can get me an advanced copy of book 9. For rizzle.

Incidentally, there’s an upcoming giveaway for this. The prizes are as follow:

  • Branded coffee mug

Right? How awesome is this! Stay tuned. 🙂

This week’s haul is not as massive (thank God!). I bought two and got two books for review: Eighth Grave After Dark and Close to Hugh, courtesy of  Big Honcho Media and Random House /Penguin Canada. I did not go to the bookstore this week, which is a good thing because I tend to overspend when I buy my books at the store as oppose to Amazon.

A Court of Thorns and Roses is this unknown book written by a little less known author. I’m sure only a FEW of you have heard of her. *winks*  A lot is riding on ACoTaR because I want this book to be the one makes me fall in love with SJM as many of you are. Please. Please. Please. Make this good. Wish me luck!

I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend. To my fellow Canadians, Happy Victoria Day! In case you’re wondering, we did end up coming back to the city yesterday. There’s a bad storm heading our way that might bring snow. Ugh.

Happy reading, everyone!
