Hoarders, Books Edition: Episode 139

SHADOW WOMAN by Linda Howard | DEADLINE by Sandra Brown | RED QUEEN by Victoria Aveyard | CALCULATED IN DEATH by J.D. Robb | THE LAST TIME WE SAY GOODBYE by Cynthia Hand | EVERYTHING WE EVER WANTED by Sara Shepard | TAKEN by Kelli Maine

I’m on a mini-vacay with my hubby, but that doesn’t stop me from acquiring books. In fact, a visit to a bookstore is always a part of our itinerary where ever we may be. So yesterday, I managed to find myself some books without getting into too much trouble. And this is all thanks to some clearance tables set up at B & N. Only two of these books are new releases (Red Queen and The Last Time…), and the rest were on sale.

I haven’t mentioned it, but I’ve been on the hunt for JD Robb’s In Death series. I think I may have found 10 on the last count, and there are 40 of these books out! Gah. I also found a hardback copy of Deadline by Sandra Brown, who is a favourite author of mine. I already have a copy of this one in paperback, but I collect the hardback copies, so I had to pick it up. The other two books are ones I’m not familiar with.

Have you read any of these?

This week, I managed to read some since I had some time during our flight.

ALL FALL DOWN by Ally Carter was okay. I had some problems with it, but I’m still curious to read more about this series. I’m hoping things will improve in the next book.

HERO by Samantha Young was also a bit of a dud. It’s not like it was bad, it just wasn’t as great as I thought it would be.

ONCE UPON A ROSE by Laura Florand was fantastic! Matt and Belle/Layla are such a cute couple. 🙂

ALL LINED UP by Cora Carmack was not as enjoyable as I initially thought it would be, so I don’t think I’m going to continue with this series. I rated it 2/5.

A HUNGER LIKE NO OTHER by Kresley Cole was fun. I downloaded the second book right away. I think I need to read the prequel to this series!

So far, I’ve been able to visit your blogs sporadically, but hopefully, I’ll be back to regular programming next week.

Happy reading!
