In which I promise not to buy another book for at least six months…
What? I so can do it!
It’s been at least a month since my last Hoarders post. Since then, I’ve accumulated a ton; including some that I’ve procured from our trip to St. Louis. Sadly, I haven’t been doing much reading. But hey, I’ve been doing my part to be out and about in the blogosphere (yay!). This is possibly, the first time that I’ve acknowledge how ridiculous this is (the hoarding). So I promised myself I will not be buying any books until I’ve managed to take a big bite out of my pile. It’s hard, you know? The minute my husband asks whether or not I want to go to the bookstore, I can’t garner up enough strength to say no. He’s the worst (and best) enabler ever.
The Girl With All the Gifts by M.R. Carey. It’s taking me a while to finish this one but that’s all on me and not the book’s fault. I am seriously loving this but I get into those type of moods sometimes when I easily get distracted. But this is such a great book. It will have you thinking that not all monsters are evil in nature. Sometimes, humans are worse.
Vampires of Manhattan by Melissa de la Cruz. I’d like to thank HBG Audio for sending me a copy of this audiobook. I’m not gonna lie, my experience with Melissa de la Cruz hasn’t been great but I was actually pretty curious about her latest work. This is the Blue Bloods series in adult fiction, and while I haven’t read those, I’m willing to jump right in. Well, so far, I’m loving it! I’m halfway and I can’t get enough.
Also, can you believe I missed my 3rd year anniversary?!
What the heck? But. I have an itch to change the blog format again, so who knows? Maybe I’ll do something to coincide the change (when I get to it) and the anniversary at the same time. 🙂
