Hoarders, Books Edition: Episode 103

Last week was a sluggish reading week. I was trying to finish this book, since it has been in my CURRENTLY READING shelf for the last couple of months. It’s not because it’s characteristically slow; it’s just the way the book is written. If you’ll remember, I featured this book a while back and have mentioned about the uniqueness by which it was written. This book is really meant to be read in stages, and is the primary reason why it took me a while to finish it. All in all, it was an amazing book! You should definitely experience it for yourself.

Other than that, I didn’t read much of anything. This weekend, I have started a couple of books that I thought were fairly good: Notes from Ghost Town by Kate Ellison and The Sound of Letting Go by Stasia Ward Kehoe. I’ll have my reviews hopefully up by next week.

Anyway, here is my haul:

These are door stoppers; they’re so huge, they almost look like text books. But I’m looking forward to reading them. House of Leaves, especially, is a book that was recommended to me from someone on Instagram. She said it reads much like S by J.J. Abrams and Doug Dorst.

Sue Grafton’s suspense series is one that I’ve wanted to read for a while. So when I saw it at my bookstore for $10, I didn’t hesitate. This one is even cooler because it’s a 3-for-1 type of deals.

I distinctly remember Youth in Revolt coming out in the theatres about a year or so ago. I need some funny reads so this one just be what the doctor ordered.

The rest of my pile are, of course, Young Adult. I can’t resist, yanno? Anyway, I hope these are good. Like I mentioned earlier, The Sound of Letting Go is pretty good so far. The other books are ones that I’ve not really read too much about.

I hope your weekend is going great. I start my new position at my job tomorrow. I’m equal parts terrified and excited. I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead, for sure. 🙂

Have a wonderful week, everyone!
