Hoarders, Books Edition: Episode 100

*Throws confetti* It’s the 100th edition of Hoarders! I was thinking about this last week and the number of books I’ve accumulated since I started blogging. If I put an average of 10 books per book haul, that’s a mind blowing 1,000 books in the last two and a half years. Insanity.

Anyway, this week’s haul is a birthday haul. Yep. I turned forty last week with very little fan fare, I might add. Husband took me to see Labor Day in the cinemas and then we had brunch the next day. We also took the kids to see Frozen afterwards. All in all, it was a fun weekend. But the celebration doesn’t end there, I’m afraid. Husband and I are Vegas-bound this weekend. Regardless of how exhausting that city is, I always look forward to seeing it.

I gorged on Tahereh Mafi this weekend. I read Unravel Me and these books back to back to back. It was everything I’d feared and the end made me wish I could get a refund for the books and a refund for the time I’d spent reading them. Sigh. I’ll have my reviews posted sometime this week.

Lover Unbound by JR Ward was procured to complete the Black Dagger Brotherhood series in hardcover. I read this many moons ago. Fin & Lady by Cathleen Schine is an Adult Fiction that I picked up because the story sounds good. Paris: A Love Story is a memoir written by Kati Marton. I read this book pretty quick. I enjoyed it. This novel is actually about the two loves in her life: Peter Jennings and Richard Holbrooke.

The rest of my haul are YA (of course). He Said, She Said by Kwame Alexander was actually in the romance bin of my bookstore. It doesn’t have a very good rating in GR, however. Heartbeat by Elizabeth Scott is a book that I’ve seen in a couple of WoW previously and book hauls. I’m really excited to read it. Cress by Marissa Meyer. God. I’ve been waiting forever and a day for this book! The other books are unfamiliar finds for me. I hope they’re awesome.

Anyway, thanks for reading. I hope you’ll all have a great week. 🙂
