I hope you all had a great week. I had good reading week last week. I caught up with my Net Galley pile and heavens, I’m finally way ahead of my reading goal. Let’s hope I’ll be able to keep to it.
Well, it was about this time of the year when my career has taken a turn and it’s about to do another one. I just found out that my boss is retiring at the end of the month, and he didn’t tell anyone. The only reason I found out about it was when the owners of the company conference-called me last Thursday to inform me that I’ll most likely be taking over his duties. This is the most terrifying thing. It’s a promotion that I never applied for, did not expect and sh*tting myself because I’ve never had direct contacts with the owners in all the years I’ve been working for them (14 years). Anyway, I’ve been working hard to make the transition go as smoothly as possible so that I can concentrate on my training for the next two weeks. Wish me luck, y’all. AGAIN. Sigh.
That’s what’s going on with my life. Also, the poetry bug has caught me again. If you’re fond of poetry, I post my poems on Tumblr and Instagram (link in my sidebar). I’m sure some of you have grown tired of them.
So. My book haul this week is incredibly small. But I’m looking forward to reading them nonetheless.
That’s all I got this week. I have been stuck on The Killing Woods for a couple of weeks. Even though I have been able to read a lot of Net Galley ARCs last week, my reading speed with physical books is sputtering at the moment. But I’m happy to report that I’ve only got about a quarter left to this book. I’m going to try and catch up with commenting again. I’m scared to see how many unread posts I have on Bloglovin’.
Catch ya later, y’all!
