Hoarders, Books Edition: Episode 94

I’ve been MIA this past week again. Mostly because of work and I’ve just been so burnt out about life in general. But things are looking up. I managed to read a pile of books just this weekend alone so the challenge now is to find the time to write reviews.

I’m determined to have posts up this week – reviews and other meme that I do. I posted Photo Vomit yesterday. If you haven’t seen it, it’s about Typography. It’s pretty!

Last week’s book haul is awesome. I got one book for review, one that I won from Bookish and another that was gifted to me by Miss Wendy D of The Midnight Garden.

Freak Boy by Kristen Elizabeth Clark was a gift from Miss Wendy. I commented on her brief review on GoodreadsΒ that I’m a fan and she was nice enough to offer up her ARC because she figured I’d appreciate it more. I’m a huge fan of verse novels and it’s something that she hasn’t got the taste for. So, thank you, Miss Wendy! You rock. πŸ™‚
The King of Clayfield by Shane Gregory. So I rarely enter contests but I made an exception for this book. Zombies. I can never resist. πŸ™‚ I won this from Bookish Evie’s blog. Thanks so much, ladies!
The Midnight Rose by Lucinda Riley. Thanks so much, Simon and Schuster for this ARC. It’s been a while since I’ve gotten a book for review so this one’s pretty special. I can’t wait to read it.Β
The Scribe by Elizabeth Hunter
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
World After by Susan Ee
Horde by Ann Aguirre
Sentinel by Jennifer L. Armentrout
The Illicit Happiness of Other People by Manu Joseph
Thanks for reading!
  • Curious about Horde but I wasn't thrilled with Outpost so I haven't been motivated to pick it up yet. I have heard it's a good ending though. LOVED World After, as you know πŸ™‚

  • That Brave New World looks pretty cool. I love that book. Horde sounds interesting, too. Scary, right? Great haul! I've been having a hard time posting lately, too. I'm happy to hear you are getting some reading done, though!

  • Wow you got world after! That is awesome, I looked for it at my local bookstore and it wasn't out yet, so I bought the Kindle version (so cheap!) congrats on getting a review book. Enjoy your reads!

  • I've been kind of absentee this week too. Sometimes life gets in the way of blogging, right? πŸ™‚

  • You have World After! Wow! Our local bookstore doesn't have it yet.

  • wow I'm jealous! This time I know many of them and I really want to read them too. I can't wait to read your reviews! Happy reading!

  • I know how you feel, I've been feeling kind of burnt out lately too. πŸ™ I blame it on winter and the depressing weather, though. Hope you manage to find the time to write those reviews and catch up soon!

  • Out of these I have only read Horde; but ohhh. That book is AMAZING. Loved it so much. Hope you will too. <3 And that you will enjoy all the other gorgeous books as well πŸ™‚ Thank you for sharing Joy. <3

  • The Horde is coming! It is perhaps one of the best trilogy conclusions I've ever read. I loved every second of it, it's just so powerful.
I have yet to buy a copy of World After, but I am very interested in reading it. I just need to find the time.
SO many pretties, enjoy them all and welcome back! :*

  • The Scribe sounds really good! I want to check that out too. And World After too! My copy came a few days ago and I still haven't picked it up yet. Something is wrong with me. πŸ™‚

  • Lovely haul Joy! I need to read the Angelfall soon since the sequel is out… hearing rave reviews about it! πŸ™‚
