Hoarders, Books Edition: Episode 93

Hello readers!

Welcome to another one of these posts. This week has been quiet on the blog – still trying to find my rhythm with reading. I mentioned on one of my reviews that I’ve been losing my appetite for YA lately and at the same time, I’m having no luck with other genres as well. I wish I’d get over it soon because my pile just keeps on growing.
I bought four books this week that I bought purely for collection’s sake. I’ve read A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens back in high school but I wanted to get the Penguin Classic edition.
I also picked up some collector’s edition copies of The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R Tolkien. They look so lovely.
And then of course, the wonderful book penned by the collaborative efforts of JJ Abrams and Doug Dorst. If you missed it, here’s my gushing post about this book.

The rest of the books this week:

So I have no clue why I picked a Bukowski book. I haven’t read any of his work. I think it might have to do with trying out all other genres (this case, classics) to see if I can break away from this crushing slump.

The Elementals by Francesca Lia Block is new to me. I have no clue what it’s about but the name’s familiarity made me pick it up.

Sorta Like a Rock Star by Matthew Quick was on sale for $5 so I picked it up.

I must admit, I’m sort of curious about Captive. It’s Erotica so it’s not such a hard sell by any stretch. It’s set in the world of Nightshade which was a series that frustrated the heck out of me. Hoping this book would  change my opinion about it.

Anyway, have a great week, everyone. Leave me a link so I can visit your hauls this week. 🙂
