There was a sale, okay?
I just…I couldn’t help myself.
I mean, look at all these pretties!
How could you resist?
Fire & Ash by Jonathan Maberry Sigh. This is the fourth book to Benny Imura’s series and one day, I will devote an entire week reading all of Mr. Maberry’s books ( I own 7 of them).
Dying to Know You by Aidan Chambers I know nothing about this book. But I like books that take me by surprise.
The Fall by Colleen Nelson Feel like a good cry? This book might just do you in.
The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider I’m on page 111. It’s funny and smart and the ending will make me mad. How do I know this? Because I’m a masochistic reader who likes to torture herself with the knowledge that HEA is not in the cards. Or maybe it is? But see? That’s the point, the journey to the ending will make me a believer that not all happy endings are good endings.
The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom Those ladies at Love of Reading Book Club sure knows how to pick them. This is my latest stab at literature.
How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff I saw the trailer for this movie. I love Saoirse Ronan and I just had to read the book.
Dusk by Eve Edwards WWI Romance. That’s all I needed to know.
Love in the Time of Global Warming by Francesca Lia Block It’s a short book – like The Little Engine that Could. The cover is pretty and prose, promising. Dying to polish this off.
Out of Play by Jolene Perry and Nyrae Dawn No clue why I picked this up. NA is not for me and I haven’t read any of this duo’s work. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout Self, why do you keep buying these books? Daemon makes you want to stab your eye repeatedly with a dull knife. Why? Why? Why? Sigh. It’s because I have OCD. I don’t like seeing incomplete series on my bookshelves.
Dirty Little Secret by Jennifer Echols Sounds promising. Let’s hope it’s as good as her previous work.
VIII by H.M. Castor It’s a story about a young king. How could I not want to read this?
All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill Mine! Mine! Mine! Muawhahhahahahahahah *chokes*hahahahahahaa
The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black Hit and miss, apparently. Here’s hoping I’ll like this one.
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas I haven’t read Throne of Glass and yet I’m practically vibrating with anticipation with the release of this book. What the heck is up with that?
The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty Ahhhh…the beginning of my demise. It was this book’s fault that I ended up with a ginormous haul this week.
Five Star Billionaire by Tash Aw I’m not going to lie: I bought this book hoping that it will be like Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan. What the heck was I thinking?
The House of Scorpion & The Lord of Opium by Nancy Farmer I don’t know why these books piqued by interest. Considering it’s science fiction and maybe even fantasy – genres that I tend to shy away from. Oh well. Let’s see how it goes.
Insane book haul this week.
Also, I lied about the book sale.
