Welcome to this week’s episode of Hoarders, Books Edition – my version of The Story Siren’s In My Mailbox. Today might be the last of these posts for a while. I’m about to switch jobs come February – that is, if I opt to accept it – and with it comes a dramatic salary decrease. God. Much like the Americans, I think my family’s about to jump off the Financial Cliff as well. It was fun while it lasted, though. And I certainly have enough books to read to last me for a few years. The problem is, I’m probably not going to be buying new releases as much. I’ve started to curb my book buying trips by….well, actually not going to the bookstore. But I have some pre-orders that I might have to cancel. This is a sad, sad day. But on the bright side, I have my family, we’re healthy, I’m employed and I have tons of books still. 🙂 So that’s my sob and hopeful story of the day.
I got some awesome books this week, and an ARC of the North American release of Quintana of Charyn. I was beaming ear-to-ear when I got it! I was hugging it like it were my precious (and it is!). I was explaining to my husband why I’m so excited about it when he knew I already read the Australian copy and I said well, because this one is the American version, to which my brother butted in, “does that mean you read the Aussie version with an accent?” oy vey. Anyway, leave me your link, will ya?
