Tour Stop: Shelf Envy [#17] with Lisa Kessler and G!veaway

Hi everyone!  Big thanks to Joy for letting me visit today!
My hubby and I are both voracious readers, but our book shelves are VERY different, so I thought I’d offer up a couple of photos…
First, this is one of my husband’s floor to ceiling shelves. (He has 5 book shelves like this, stuffed full… Yikes!) This is his Stephen King shelf.  Those are his prized first editions, in release date order…

And here is my shelf…  As you can see, mine isn’t remotely as organized as his.  I have 3 floor-to-ceiling book shelves and sadly, they’re all as unorganized as this one.  I like to blame it on overcrowding.  Behind all of the stacks you see is a full row of neatly standing books.  Before I got my Kindle, real estate on my shelves was a premium.

(But truth be told, I’m often running in 4 directions at once, so my books are just lucky they even got on the shelf! LOL)
These days I read 95% of my books on my Kindle so shelf space is no longer a problem…
What was the last book you purchased?
Seduction Under Fire by Melissa Cutler. I had it preordered and it popped into my Kindle today!  Magic!
If you could choose one character among the many that you’ve read so far, who would be the one that you think is an echo of your personality?
Hmmm…  That’s a tough question!  Maybe Paige Winterbourne from the Women of the Otherworld series.  She’s got skills, but I wouldn’t call her “Kick ass”…  However she will do whatever it takes to protect those she loves.  I wish I had her magic though.  I’d love to have magic spells at the ready! LOL
Inquiring minds want to know: What is your guilty read?
Not sure about a guilty read…  But I can tell you my current guilty pleasure for listening is Adam Lambert!!!  Oh how I love Glam Rock! LOL
Who is your go-to author when you’re on a reading slump?
Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles.  There’s one of her later ones that really works for me.  If you’ve never read “Pandora” it’s not too long and it’s a beautiful book!  Story of Marius and his love, Pandora. It’s a bittersweet read and it feels like a real look at what effect eternity would have on love.  But they’re all great to get you thinking…
Ah yes, I know all about lack of real estate. I think that’s every book hoarder’s problem. Well, thank you so much for stopping by, Lisa. I’m always on a lookout for a new genre and yours seem like a good place to start. Historical PNR sounds perfect!
