Shelf Envy: Bethzaida of Bookitty Blog

Hello!
Welcome to another edition of Shelf Envy. Today, I have the lovely Bethzaida of Bookitty Blog. I’ve known Beth since the inception of my blog. She’s also a fellow Melina Marchetta fan girl so…birds of the same feather and all that. I always check out her blog for interesting and fun pic2book challenges.

Love the reading chair! So convenient – easy reach to your next read. 🙂
Harry’s magic wand.

I can’t help but notice a couple of your Melina Marchetta books in “haz mats”. Now, that’s love!
1. How long have you been collecting books?

Since 2009. It all started after I read Twilight. I read books before it but never fell in love with any of them. I know many people think Twilight is the Jersey Shore of literature but Stephenie Meyer opened many doors for authors and readers. For that, I will thank her for the rest of my life.

*For those who don’t know, Jersey Shore is a reality TV show in the US.

2. Name the top 5 books in your shelves.

I’m going to cheat a bit here. I’m going to say all of Melina Marchetta books, Angelfall by Susan Ee, Blood Red Road by Moira Young, Sanctum by Sarah Fine (not yet in my shelf but it will be as soon as I buy it) and The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner.

3. What is the most random thing you have in your shelves?

I’ll have to say my Harry Potter wand and my book earrings and necklace. They are usually just all over my bookshelf but I organized a bit before taking the pictures 😉

4. Whose work do you most look forward to reading?

Melina Marchetta! I’ll read anything by her.

5. What is the most scandalous book in your shelves?

*blushes* I have a few but I think one of the most scandalous is Captive in the Dark by CJ
Roberts.

I too, owe my addiction to YA to Stephenie Meyer. I wouldn’t worry to much. I still need to read The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner; I think I have those books here somewhere. I’m going to have to check out this Captive in the Dark! Sounds like a steamy read, girl!

Anyway, thank you so much for indulging me today, Beth. I’m always happy to find someone as Melina Marchetta-obsessed as I am…and Alexa. Lol!
