Book Lust [One]

Today, I thought I’d give you guys a list of the books I’m absolutely jonesing for. I guess you can say that this is a take off from Breaking the Spine’s Waiting on Wednesday. I won’t be doing this every week, therefore, there would probably be several books in one post. Also, this periodical post will feature books that are either not out yet or I have them but I just haven’t gotten around to reading them for whatever reason.

There’s a ton of books out there that I’m aching to read but life happens and books for reviews become an obligation that I simply have to prioritize. I’m far from catching up, even with the ARC request ban. Anyway, all I can do nowadays is salivate for ARCs that everybody else is getting and heck, even drool over my books. I’m messed up, I know!

This is a Call (The Life and Times of Dave Grohl)
Publication Date: November 29th, 2011
HarperCollins
SHELF: Own, To-Read

My first choice is the autobiography of my real GUITAR HERO, Dave Grohl. He’s the front man for the group, Foo Fighters. I worship this guy. He’s pretty fucking awesome. I watched a bit of their recent ROCKDOCS and I have to say that I’m pretty surprise by how completely genuine this guy is. I couldn’t tell where the rock god ends and the family man begins. This is also a peek at one of the man who started the 90s rock revolution and his friendship with Kurt Cobain. I need to read this book soon.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Publication Date: August 7th, 2012
Bloomsbury
SHELF: To-Read, Aug-2012

This book is available for request on Net Galley. Unfortunately, I’ve also banned myself from that site. Besides, I don’t think I’m going to get approved for this book anyway. Admittedly, I want this bad because of all the good things I’ve been hearing about it. The heroine definitely sounds like a kick-ass character, so I think I will thoroughly enjoy this.

The Rise of Nine by Pittacus Lore
Publication Date: August 21st, 2012
HarperCollins
SHELF: To-Read, Aug-2012

No matter how much The Power of Six sucked, this series will remain one of my favourites. I’m very interested to know how our group of aliens will band together to defeat the Mogadorians. Hopefully, John Smith will be left at home if he remains to be the whiny and sulking boy that he was at the previous book.

Lover at Last (BDB #11) by JR Ward
Publication Date: March 2013
SHELF: To-Read, Mar-2013

I’m panting. Wanting. Needing. I ache for this book in ways you cannot even imagine. This is the story of Qhuinn and Blay. These two invented the word, frustration; they live to frustrate us, die-hard readers of this series. I’ve been dying for these two to get together since I’ve met them. Can you say UST? Well, these two dwell, revel, thrive on those situations. All I hope is that they don’t disappoint. I expect a happy ending…’know what I mean? *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*
