Monthly Rewind: JANUARY 2012

This has been quite a month! First, let me direct your attention to the new lay out and appearance of the blog. With the help of Ishita from The Reading Fish, I finally have come at peace with the blog design. I was always fiddling with the templates and I couldn’t get the look that I was going for. More importantly, I wanted to give my eyes a break from the brightness of my former design. It was my idea to go with The Vintage Reading Girl image but because I’ve some OCD tendencies, I found that I constantly have to match the yellow blouse she was wearing at the picture with my posts. Believe it or not, I’m not joking.  Anyway, I’m blabbering away. I really liked the overall look now. It’s more soothing to the eyes. I wanted a minimalist look and I think I’ve finally achieved it. So, thank you so much, Ishita! She’s absolutely fab and very knowledgeable when it comes to blog designs. You should check her out!

January was a very busy reading month for me! On the last count, I’ve read 33 in total with three DNFs. Unfortunately, I’m still buying faster than I’m reading…*sigh* I also did not include the books that I did not review on the list below. You can read all my reviews here.

All winners have been notified and have responded back with their information. Congratulations! And I hope you enjoy all the books that have been given away on this blog.

That’s it. That’s what I’ve been up to in January. There sure were a lot of dramas this month! I hope we can all go back to enjoying what we love to do the best – reading, sharing the book love and all in all just being nice to each other.

As for February, I’ve got nothing going on, folks. I rarely join book tours because I really do suck at it. I’m a bit intimidated, mostly because I’m scared that I’ll sign up only to beg off later for whatever reasons. So right now, I’m just working on conquering my Mt. TBR. I hope you’ll stick around and maybe follow me through Network Blogs. With all the hullabaloo regarding GFC, I couldn’t tell which way is up anymore. But hey, I’ll appreciate any kinds of following from y’all 🙂

Advance Happy Valentine’s Day!

  • wow what an amazing amount of books you read!

You amaze me. How how hooooooow, is it possible to read 34 books in a month (and 2 days)??? Do you read in your sleep?
Oh oh oooh I know. You're an alien. And you don't eat. You get nutrition by reading books. I get it now.
Well, I'm still proud of my huge number of books I've erad so far this year. 🙂
    Xoxo, tacklesnuggles from Jo.
