SUMMARY
Runaway bride Louisa Honeycutt is looking for a quick escape when she passes the Double Dare, Inc sign and the slogan “Are you ready for the time of your life?” seems like divine intervention. Sheltered by her overbearing father, Louisa has years of catching up to do and can think of no better person than gorgeous Sam Rawlins to show her. Is she ready for the time of her life? Hell, yes.
Ordinarily unflappable adventure guide Sam Rawlins makes his living showing the wealthy how to have fun, but nothing in his experience could have prepared him for the “adventure” Louisa Honeycutt asks for. He might be showing Louisa the time of her life, but the quirky little snack-cake heiress is soon turning Sam’s own life upside down…and perversely, he likes the new vantage point.

What a perfect, sweet distraction this book was! I mean, sure you can probably group this book into the thousands of romance books we see at the grocery store but if you’re looking for a quick, fun read, then this book is just the ticket. The reviews on Goodreads weren’t all that favourable but I had to find out for myself. Most of them pointed out the editing errors but quite honestly, it was either the book did its job of distracting me that I completely missed them or I just wasn’t good at spotting those mistakes. This book is free on Amazon right now, so I’d take advantage if I were you.

I love the way the relationship developed between characters and though it only took a week for them to realize that their attraction could be love, I felt that the author justified their feelings well. I wish this book was longer. The ending seemed a bit hurried for my taste but one can argue that it’s due to the length of this book. Even so, I still think the author did a fantastic job of giving us an well-balanced story.

SUMMARY
Young widow Bella Valentine isn’t looking for love in all the wrong places–she’s not looking for love at all. With a young son, an aging Victorian house in need of constant repair and a busy business keeping the women of Magnolia Grove, Mississippi groomed and in current fashion, she doesn’t have time for romance…until it literally arrives at her front door…in the form of Gray Cameron.
Bestselling mystery author Gray Cameron is in town researching his latest novel and needs a place to lay his head for a few months. Bella’s above-stairs apartment fits the bill excellently and the scenery–hers specifically–is nothing to sneeze at either. But when the sexy widow and her adorable son prove to be more interesting than his current novel, Gray knows he’s in trouble. And trouble has never felt so good…

This was another quick read but rest assured, it didn’t lack for some toe-curling romance. Perhaps because I kept an eye out for those this time around, but there were a lot of editing miscues here (mostly, missing letters and a couple of grammatical errors). It doesn’t matter though, I still loved this story. Rhonda Nelson can pull off novellas like it’s nobody’s business! I absolutely loved the chemistry she managed to concoct between her characters. Like Double Dare, you won’t have any problems with pacing in relationship development and the story as a whole. The secondary characters win big time in this book! Bella’s lovely, geriatric customers were a hoot and Ethan, her son is just adorable in every sense of the word.

Steamy romance, witty repertoires between characters, and humour coloured the pages of this book. Absolute fun read!
